Growth Hacking Process - Everything You Need to Know!
The growth hacking process, also known as the G.R.O.W.S. process, is an experimental 5-step framework for growth hackers. Developed by Growth Tribe in 2016, it aims to assist teams in achieving their goals through a process-oriented approach. The core idea of this process is to move from ideation to successful project implementation in the shortest possible time, continuously improving and expanding these projects.
The process consists of the following 5 steps:
- G – Gather ideas: Initiate a brainstorming session with your team to collect a broad range of ideas for experiments.
- R – Rate ideas: Use a proven framework such as BRASS (blink, relevance, availability, scalability, and score) or PIE (potential, importance, ease) to evaluate and prioritize your ideas, identifying those that promise the greatest return on investment (ROI).
- O – Outline experiments: Define clear steps for implementing your selected ideas and design your experiments to be as small and fast as possible.
- W – Work: To achieve optimal results, conduct your experiment within a 2 to 4-week timeframe.
- S – Scrutinize results (and implement): Analyze the results of your experiment carefully and use the insights gained to make informed decisions about whether further steps are needed. This may involve either continuing to learn and conduct new experiments or transitioning successful approaches into implementation.
